“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” Walt Disney

My name is Denise Pimentel. I was born and raised in a New York state of mind. I currently reside in the suburbs of New Jersey. As the saying goes, "You can take the girl out of New York, but you can't take the New York out of the girl." I consider myself educated, witty, and funny. I love to write about topics such as theology, love, the power of the mind, and the experience of losing my mind here and there. My favorite historical periods are the Medieval and Renaissance times—yes, I am one of those hopeless romantics. The art and philosophy of these eras captivate me.

I've been writing for leisure since I was in elementary school. I have an autobiographical blog, but I also have other completed works and projects in progress that I plan to share beyond my blog. I am working on three books: one is an autobiography, another is a drama/mystery, and I recently started writing a devotional book. Writing is my life. I write when I'm happy; I write when I'm sad; I write to gather opinions; I write to inform; and I even write while jogging, as that's when words flow best for me. I spent six years at Kean University, earning a B.A. in Elementary Education/History in my first four years, followed by an M.A. in Liberal Studies with a concentration in American Studies in the last two years there. My husband likes to tease me by saying I ordered my diplomas online—he's such a jokester! For my thesis, I researched the women who fought in the Vietnam War; yes, they were there.

In my spare time, I enjoy creating. As a result, I have many items for sale here. I was all set to sell many of them at the Somerville Street Fair a few years ago, but the pandemic hit, and the fair was canceled. I created all the items here, including homemade pillows of various themes, which I immediately placed in plastic protectors to keep them dust-free. I dedicated many hours to pyrography on basswood and made wrapped canvas prints from my local photography while exploring nature. If you prefer prints, I have many available for sale. I also started a greeting card line featuring my business logo on the back, which I had printed locally. All the items here are original creations, whether from my ideas, pictures, or sketches, and they are sold individually or in sets. Thank you for taking the time to stop by my page and learn a little bit about me.
